Welcome to the first business of e-mail of 2003. This year I predict we'll see 'filtering' become a very hot topic indeed in the world of e-mail. We'll be covering e-mail filtering from all angles in upcoming issues - what it is, how it's done, the impact on in-box spam levels, and - the bottom line - how it will affect both sender and receiver.
E-mail Clippings includes a look at the launch of E-mail Anywhere services by Vodafone and O2 and a report that e-mail ad spends will rise this year. In the spirit of 'all work and no play...' E-xcellent Resources shows you entertaining uses of e-mail, including video and animation. In E-mail Workshop learn why some characters and symbols in your e-mails can become mangled in the recipient's version. Reading Round-Up includes articles about how to think like a publisher and ideas for moving readers from text to html. Newsweaver News points to some of our new features including improvements to the User's Guide and improved password protection.
In the last issue we asked: "What e-mail software do you use?" The top choice was Outlook - at almost 46%, then Outlook Express 28%, Netscape Communicator 6%, Pegasus 8%, Lotus Notes 6%, Eudora 3%, Web based 3%.
I'm using our publishing system, Newsweaver to put together this e-zine. Newsweaver will be of interest to those who'd like to incorporate newsletters into their own marketing campaigns. It's an easy to use complete publishing system that gives you newsletter design, mailing, tracking and list management. Click here to view the demo, and/or sign up for a free 30 day trial.
Cheers, denise cox, Editor
