Welcome to the 'spring has sprung' edition of the business of e-mail. In the news, you'll find details on the Irish government's establishment of the Data Retention Bill - which will impact the storage of e-mails, how AOL, in a bid to keep subscribers, has launched a product for the 'tech-savvy', and DoubleClick's latest E-mail Trend Report which offers up encouraging news for newsletter publishers. Reading Round-up includes articles about personalising your e-mail newsletters, tips for stemming address erosion in your in-house mailing lists, an explanation of the term 'blacklists' - who runs them, and how they impact on opt-in marketers, plus a DIY checklist for opt-in e-mail campaigns. In the workshop - a reminder to test your mailings to ensure they're seeing what you're seeing .....

In the next issue we'll be offering you options for personalising the content you receive in this e-zine, as well as other new features.

I'm using our publishing system, Newsweaver to put together this e-zine. Newsweaver will be of interest to those who'd like to incorporate newsletters into their own marketing campaigns.
