Forging links with the Polish Solidarity Union


DEP has joined with City Employment Partnerships from around Europe to establish the European Economic Interest Group - Metropolis.Net.

These include Berlin, Madrid, London, Santander, Rome, Budapest, Vienna, Warsaw and other cities.

Dublin Enterprise Strategy Group - Major research project underway

Dublin City needs a robust enterprise strategy to secure it's employment base. 
 
The economic boom has meant property prices threaten the viability of enterprises in the city area. There is a danger of businesses moving to lower cost locations on the periphery of the city.

Information Technology Initiative reaches 2,500 people

This community project is funded under the ASC Initiative of the Department of the Taoiseach. It was officially launched on 16th January by Minister of State, Tom Kitt T.D.
 
The DEP Information Communication Technology(ICT) Initiative, implemented in association with FIT Ltd. has brought community-based ICT training to over 2,500 people throughout the Dublin Region since October 2007.

Young Workers Upskill through Learning at Work programme

DEP is concluding a contract with FÀS to upskill up to 500 young workers who left school early but are now in full time employment. This programme is supported by the Department of Education, employers and trade unions.
 
Delivered through six area partnerships across Dublin, the Learning at Work programme has developed novel ways to bring educational and training supports to young people in the workplace.

The History of Social Partnership
