During the summer DEP launched the Evaluation Report on the impact of it's very successful "Dublin Community ICT Programme".
At the launch, Minister of State and Government Chief Whip, Pat Carey TD and Joyce O'Connor (Chair, Digital Hub) commended the work of the programme. Both saw the ICT Programme as the way to go in terms of bringing ICT skills to wider circles of people outside the formal education system.
"The programme - on a budget of €800,000 - delivered eCert training to 2,300 people through 85 community groups across Dublin and fitted out or upgraded ICT Equipment in nearly 30 community centres, centres for independent living, senior citixens flat complexes and other facilities."
