Gary Cohn Endows Kogod Research Professorship

Kogod School of Business announces the establishment of the Gary D. Cohn Endowed Research Professorship in Finance.  This endowment was made possible by a gift of $500,000 from AU Trustee and Alumnus Gary D. Cohn and his wife, Lisa Cohn. Cohn is a 1982 graduate of Kogod with a degree in finance and was elected to AU’s Board of Trustees in 2001.  He currently serves as partner and managing director of Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York.

“Gary’s support of Kogod is one of the many ways he demonstrates his commitment to AU and to the future of business education,” said Myron Roomkin, dean of the Kogod School of Business. The purpose of the professorship is to encourage academic and programmatic excellence in the field of finance at Kogod.  The endowment will be used to support the research and teaching of a distinguished faculty member appointed to the professorship.
