Personnel in the Trade

Aoife Henderson, Director of Marketing and Sales at the Clarion IFSC, has been promoted to be Group Director of Marketing and Sales for Clarion Hotels Ireland. This will include responsibility for Clarion Limerick and for new developments at LiffeyValley, Sligo and Cork.

Dr. John O’Brien has taken up the position as Chief Executive of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland. Cork born Dr. O’Brien, has extensive experience in the food industry and was Director of Food Safety for the Danone Group from 1999-2003.

Mr John Concannon, was recently appointed Chief Executive Ireland West Tourism. John was born in Mayo and raised in Sligo and he joins the Regional Tourism Authority from Unilever Plc. He is a graduate of University College Galway and holds a Masters Degree in Business Studies along with a postgraduate Higher Diploma in Marketing Practice.

Ms Helen O’Halloran, formerly Product Marketing Department, Fáilte Ireland, has recently been appointed Promotions Executive, Trade Promotions Department. Helen replaces Joyce McElroy who has transferred to the Business Tourism Unit. helen.ohalloran@failteireland.ie joyce.mcelroy@failteireland.ie
