Fox’s EMC Program Recognized by Financial Times and CNN.com

The Financial Times and CNN.com featured Temple University's Fox School of Business' Enterprise Management Consulting Practice (EMC) recently in two articles highlighting the success of MBA student consulting groups. Not only is Fox's EMC the capstone experience for all MBA students and one that allows them to work directly with real businesses, it is a crucial component to a student's management educational experience.

Temple’s Be Your Own Boss Bowl Sets New Records, Launches Dreams
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute’s (IEI) 11th annual Be Your Own Boss Bowl business plan competition was marked by record participation and greatly improved plan quality compared to previous years. Business plans were received from more than 11 different schools and colleges within Temple and ranged from a business using social networking to advertise to college students, to a company manufacturing heated hangers for outerwear, to a biotech firm.

Social Entrepreneurship Conference Makes a Big Impact in Temple Students “Going Green”

The Fourth Annual Social Entrepreneurship Conference was held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, to increase awareness about social entrepreneurship. Temple University’s Fox School of Business’ Net Impact, Students for Responsible Business (SRB), and the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute (IEI) made this year’s conference possible along with PNC Bank, the Fresh Grocer, Sodexo and many other co-sponsors.
