On Thursday, November 20, Temple University's League for Entrepreneurial Women established Philadelphia's first Hall of Fame dedicated to honoring women for their achievements as innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders in the Philadelphia region and beyond.
The Hall of Fame recognizes Temple University alumnae who have achieved the highest level of leadership and continue to make strides as prominent business and professional leaders in their respective fields. Over 65 guests attended the luncheon ceremony held at Temple’s Great Court, Mitten Hall.
The inaugural inductees include: Mary Ann Leeper, president and COO of the Female Health Company, Chicago-based makers of The Female Condom™; Linda McAller, founder and president of the Melior Group, one of the region's largest and most successful market research consulting firms; and Edna Tuttleman, scholar, patriot, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
“This was a wonderful opportunity to honor three successful women who exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit,” shares Monica Treichel, assistant professor of general and strategic management in The Fox School, and co-chair of the League for Entrepreneurial Women. “We look forard to the 2004 conference and honoring future inductees to the Hall of Fame.”
