Jean-Pierre Garnier, CEO of GlaxoSmithKline, Speaks at Fox Breakfast
Jean-Pierre Garnier, CEO of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), addressed over
300 healthcare executives at the Philadelphia Business Journal Book of Lists Breakfast on February 25, sponsored by The Fox School of Business and Management at Temple University.

"This was a wonderful collaboration between The Fox School and the Business Journal," stated Bob Bonner, executive director of MBA and MS Programs for The Fox School.

As CEO of GSK, Dr. Garnier directs this industry leading research-based pharmaecutical company with U.S. operations headquartered in Philadelphia. Dr. Garnier joined SmithKline Beecham in 1990 as president of its pharmaecutical business and assumed his current role in December 2000 with the merger of SmithKline Beecham and Glaxo Wellcome.

A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Garnier was named one of 50 "Stars of Europe" by BusinessWeek magazine and presented with the Marco Polo Award for GlaxoSmithKline's commitment to China. He is also a recipient of the Humanitarian Award from the Sabin Vaccine Institute.
