Business major who stayed close to home is Temple’s 2007 student Commencement speaker

First Frederic Fox Lecture Features Gordon Zacks on Leadership
Gordon Zacks has finally figured out what distinguishes great leaders.

It’s called character.

“It is the central quality of effective leadership and the central quality of an effective life,” Mr. Zacks said at the first annual Frederic Fox Lecture on Leadership, which was held on April 19 at Temple University Center City campus.

Zacks, former CEO of the largest manufacturer of at-home comfort footwear, R.G. Barry Corp. and former chairman of the United Jewish Appeal, is the author of Defining Moments: Stories of Character, Courage, and Leadership.

Fox School MBA GET Teams Help International Companies Enter the American Market

The research these students completed was not just for the benefit of the companies; it was also for a grade. The students are completing the capstone course for their IMBA, The Fox School’s award-winning Enterprise in Management Consulting Practicum.

This year, seven Fox School undergraduate research scholars presented.

Initially, each research scholar was paired with a Fox faculty member with the goal of producing research that is applicable to a practical business application and worthy of publication in an academic or professional journal.
