Issue 26   May 6, 2008

Welcome to the May issue of the STAR Tester! It’s officially summer and with it comes the EuroSTAR 2008 conference programme launch and the opening of conference registration.  Check out our website for the full line-up of extraordinary speakers who will be present in The Hague, this November.

To coincide with the programme launch we are running a competition giving you the chance to win two tickets to the UEFA EURO 2008 Final taking place on June 29th in Vienna. Enter today!

In this issue we have a letter from the EuroSTAR 2008 Programme Chair, Bob van de Burgt, highlighting his thoughts of this year’s programme. On behalf of the EuroSTAR Team I would like to thank all of you who submitted to this year’s Call For Papers. Each year we receive such a large number of high quality submissions, unfortunately it is not possible include each one.

Also this month, we bring you an article from one of the EuroSTAR 2008 Keynote Speakers- Randall Rice. Read the article below for a taste of what’s to come at this year’s ultimate testing event.

The EuroSTAR Tutorial Day will also take place this month on May 20th, tutorial schedule and registration details available here.

I’d like to thank all those who were present at the EuroSTAR – TestNet Mini-Event in Nieuwegein last month. There was an incredible attendance and we hope to see many of you again at EuroSTAR 2008.

Kind regards,

Susan McAndrew

How is business going to change over the years? How is the IT function going to respond, and what role can we as software testers play? Where do we go from here and where do we need to be in about 5 years?
