Welcome to the first autumn issue of the STAR Tester for 2008! This month I am excited to introduce an article from Dorothy Graham and Isabel Evans outlining their role in the establishment of the Software Testing Manifesto, which will be created and unveiled at EuroSTAR 2008, The Hague.
This issue also includes outstanding articles from two speakers who feature on the 2008 conference programme. Both Fiona Charles and Herman-Pieter Nijhof will discuss some interesting and thought provoking topics this November. They have kindly supplied us with an overview of their presentations for this month’s newsletter- please see articles below.
The second EuroSTAR Tutorial Day has been announced and will take place in Malmö on Monday, September 22nd. We are offering two full day courses presented by John Fodeh and Lee Copeland who are predominant speakers in today’s testing industry and have years of experience to support their knowledge. Places are limited and it is recommended to book early. Full details and booking form are available on our website
As the final countdown to the 2008 Olympics is officially underway I see it fitting to include a press release from Atos Origin, who are technology partner for the Beijing Olympics and also platinum partner of EuroSTAR 2008. Approximately 10,500 athletes are expected to participate at the Games which begin this Friday, August 8th - I wish them all the very best!
