A manual that the TIM School participated in research for will be published by the APEC International Center for Sustainable Tourism (AICST), supported by WTO and PATA in November 2003.  The manual, titled “Tourism Risk Management for the Asia Pacific Region,” will provide government decision-makers and tourism industry members in Asia and the Pacific with an authoritative guide to risk management.  It will offer a broad coverage of the many potential threats that may affect the tourism industry, both directly and indirectly, as well as an understanding of the sources of potential problems and strategic ways to respond to them.  The research was undertaken by the CRC for Sustainable Tourism(Australia), the TIM School and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Hospitality and Tourism Management will participate.
