Internship Update

This summer has been a busy one for our TIM students, who are completing their internships. The TIM School is most appreciative of the incredible support we receive from a large number of stakeholders in providing our students with valuable work experience. The following are just some of the businesses taking on summer interns:

A special Mahalo goes out to Sheraton Hotels in Waikiki. Sheraton’s summer 2004 Internship Class has 17 TIM students. Our TIM students are working in various departments in the hotels, including human resources, guest services, catering, Asian sales, F&B and housekeeping.

Congratulations to TIM student Chelsea Neal-Ricker, who has obtained an internship at the Sheraton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa in French Polynesia. She will spend three months as a guest service management intern. Her focus will be food and beverage and front desk operations. Sheraton Moorea will be providing Chelsea with airfare, room and board, meals, a monthly allowance and of course the invaluable hands-on experience in resort operations.

We would like to welcome the Halekulani Hotel, Hawaii Vacation Link, Honolulu Club, Matzki Inc, SunTrips, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua and Watabe Wedding Corporation to the TIM School ‘ohana. This is the first time that these companies are taking on TIM School interns.
