St. Kevin's Football Team Meet their Heros

Thanks to the generous support of Walsh Western, St Kevin’s Boy Football Club were able to travel to the UK last Easter weekend, to take part in the Solar World Cup. The weather was fantastic and a great weekend was had by all. The boys, after plenty of coke and pizza, (which led to sleepless nights) were runners up in the competition.

The boys were promised a surprise if they behaved themselves on and off the pitch. This surprise turned out to be the best kept secret. They got to meet their heroes in Manchester United; firstly they got the tour of the training facilities all free of charge thanks to Roy Keane.

Then after the Real Madrid tour match the boys had an opportunity to meet, chat, get autographs and have their photos taken with their heroes, Roy Keane and John O'Shea.
