Specialists in the transportation of high value and time sensitive goods

The security of our customers’ products is a key concern to Walsh Western International.  It is our policy to ensure that our customers’ products are maintained in a secure manner throughout the distribution chain.  ‘Speed to market’ and efficient, secure transportation of goods are critical elements in maintaining a competitive edge, which is why we are the carrier of choice for some of the world’s leading manufacturers of computers, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and electronics.
We operate the most stringent security procedures combined with the most advanced satellite communications tracking technology.  As members of TAPA (Technical Assets Protection Agency), we ensure that our processes and procedures are best in class.

The following services are key features of security which Walsh Western offers;

· The Walsh Western International service is based on all loads being driver accompanied from door to door.

· All Walsh Western International box van trailers are of solid construction and fully insulated and carry Walsh  Western livery and have high visibility roof numbers.

· Our policy is to use the most secure routes and stopping points and the most reliable ferries.

· Our drivers are fully trained to the highest security standards, they have full and relevant licenses and are equipped with mobile phones for safety and ease of communication.  They are responsible for the security of vehicle, trailer and load whilst in their possession.

· Our Integrated Trailer Tracking location system has an independent power source and is alarmed for panic attack, door open and disconnection from tractor.

· Our Monitoring Centre control team (who work independently of our operations teams) based in a secure facility which operates 24hours a day and 7days per week and tracks the precise location of every trailer in the WWI fleet.

· Convoys are used as a cost effective and practical method of surveillance and security.

· We ensure that all staff involved in the provision of services have received adequate security related training for the position they are fulfilling.  This includes operational staff, drivers and Monitoring Centre staff.
