WEEE – are you ready yet?

Waste disposal and environmental management of waste products is notably absent from most supply chains. However, several pieces of European legislation, including the WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directives will come into force, in part, by mid 2004.

Walsh Western’s BPI Programme is gaining momentum

25 project proposals, 12 projects in progress, 5 in completion phase, 105 Yellow Belts trained, 40 Green Belts trained, 3 Black Belts have commenced training, 16 steering committee meetings held across all sites since April 2003.

Walsh Western Annual Golf Day

On the 15th of August 2003, Walsh Western held it's Annual Golf Day in Druid’s Glen. Everything about the day was most enjoyable. The weather was fantastic, the course in great condition and the food wonderful.

St. Kevin's Football Team Meet their Heros

Thanks to the generous support of Walsh Western, St Kevin’s Boy Football Club were able to travel to the UK last Easter weekend, to take part in the Solar World Cup . The boys got to meet their heroes in Manchester United; firstly they got the tour of the training facilities all free of charge thanks to Roy Keane.

St. Brigids GAA Club won their first ever Dublin Senior Football Championship.   By way of congratulating the Walsh Western team members, Brian Enright, CEO Walsh Western, presented awards to Mick Galvin, Ken Darcy and Keith Keane (All of Walsh Western Dublin IT Dept.).
